And unlike many companies, our safety department consists of all of our 380 team members.  Our team members are empowered to identify and correct any risk or hazard they may encounter while on the job and we will give them the support and resources to correct these risks.

While safety is our number one value, the overall health and well-being of our team members is extremely important to us at Nucor Tuscaloosa. In 2009 we completed construction on a new health and wellness that houses the safety department, a medical clinic staffed with a full time RN and a doctor who is onsite three days a week, and a state of the art gym with over 90 pieces of equipment.
